Last week we visited Source Fashion in London and we wanted to tell you all about it!

London is undoubtedly one of the fashion capitals of the world, and when it comes to discovering cutting-edge trends, few places are more exciting than Source Fashion. Located in the heart of the UK’s fashion scene, Source Fashion is a unique, multi-day trade event that offers an opportunity to see the latest fashion innovations and the trends for 2025. Whether you’re a buyer, designer, or simply a fashion lover, Source Fashion is a destination you won’t want to miss.

Walking into Source Fashion is like stepping into a world of endless possibilities, where established brands meet up-and-coming designers. From the moment you enter, you're greeted by a sea of new styles, fabrics, and ideas. Exhibitors range from sustainable brands to luxury design houses, all showcasing their latest collections. It is an incredible atmosphere.

Why did we go to Source Fashion?

We went to Source fashion for a few different reasons:

1. We wanted to see different fabrics for future new products. It was a great opportunity to touch and see these in person. All of our current products are made from microfiber leather (and we love it!) but going forward we want to expand our range and have different options for people.

2. Checking to see if other manufacturers could produce our products at a lower rate which in return would bring down the price for our customers. After speaking to multiple different manufacturers, they all said the same thing: They could not match the quality and the only way to bring down the price would be to use materials of less quality. As a brand, this is definitely not something we are willing to do. We believe you should have bags that will last without peeling or ripping. One of the main things we came away with was an even bigger appreciation for our current manufacturer.

3. As you might have seen on our social media we are currently designing a new backpack. We have been asking all our customers and followers for ideas of what you would like in backpack. Source Fashion was also a great opportunity for inspiration and ideas.

4. Making new connections and seeing the up and coming trends for this year, which look absolutely amazing! 

Handbag Trends to Watch for in 2025

Handbags are a reflection of personal style and a key piece of any outfit. In 2025, the trends are evolving in bold and creative directions, influenced by sustainability, technology, and a desire for statement-making accessories. Here's a glimpse at the top handbag trends to expect in the coming year:

1. Sustainable Luxury

Sustainability continues to dominate the fashion industry, and handbags are no exception. More designers are using eco-friendly materials such as vegan leather, upcycled fabrics, and even innovative plant-based alternatives. Expect to see an increasing number of luxury handbags made from sustainable sources, blending timeless designs with a strong environmental conscience. Think beautifully crafted bags with a clear commitment to reducing the fashion industry’s environmental footprint.

2. 2025 colour trends: Soft, neutral tones

You can expect more of the soft, neutral tones we’ve been seeing in 2025. Think shades of brown (like creamy mocha mousse), off white, beige, and warm chestnut and chocolate brown. Also trending right now is pale pink shades—especially as we head into the spring and summer months. We were delighted to see this and is proven as our Modern Tote Bag in Tan has quickly become a best seller. It is truly a colour that matches any outfit. We are also releasing a new shade of Taupe this summer that we know you will love.

3. The East/West silhouette

The East-West silhouette is named for its shape, which stretches longways horizontally and has a strap that runs across the middle. It’s a super trendy look right now.

4. Top Handle Totes

Referred to as “doctor bags” or “medicine bags,” this silhouette is a major 2025 handbag trend. It's a bag that is a structured tote with a top handle that may or may not have a long strap, too.
